Barry Chang: A Man Who Fights for Fairness

Chang is running for a seat as a Santa Clara County Board of Supervisor. This letter is from one of his supporters.

, candidate for Supervisor District 5, is well known for his relentless effort in pursuit of justice and rights of his constituency. He is a rare kind of elected official who constantly goes great distances to challenge the status quo despite of his stance and insistence for fairness often unpopular or loathed by his colleagues. Many residents see him as their sole voice, especially when the city confronts the environmental, public health or property rights issues.

Barry is a true visionary whose advocacy was proven farsighted time and again. His unfailing belief in participatory democracy is remarkable. He has repeatedly chipped in a relatively large sum of his own money (even though he is not a wealthy man) to support his campaigns because his opponents frequently are supported by special interests and established political operatives.
