My debut as guest barista at Bitter+Sweet Wednesday helped raise about $350 in donations for West Valley Community Services—most of which is from a personal donation from owner, Janice Chua.

Chua agreed to donate 15 percent of the proceeds from the time I was on duty, and that amounted to about $40, she said. But she added a personal donation to round up to $200.

Other donations came through a silent auction and cash donations.

My signature drink, Anne’s Motown Minty Mocha, was a hit and I tried as often as I could to put my signature stamp—a green Patch “P”—on anything with foam that passed my hand.

Thanks to all who came out to support Patch, Bitter+Sweet and of course, my selected charity, West Valley Community Services.

Stay tuned for Bitter+Sweet’s next guest barista.
