Cupertino Parents Welcome a Baby Boy at the Start of 2013

Born at 12:15 a.m. New Year's Day a Cupertino couple welcomes their newborn at El Camino Hospital.

While plenty of people countdown to the New Year at parties, eager parents-to-be at hospitals everywhere count the seconds and minutes afterward hoping their newborn is the closest to midnight as possible.

Well, the first baby born at El Camino Hospital's Mountain View campus on New Year's Day wasn't in a total rush. The infant boy was born at 12:15 a.m. to Cupertino parents, mother Kasey Markines and father Ben Markines. His big sister Lilly also appeared very happy to have someone to play with too.

Congratulations to the family! We wish them lots of health and happiness.
