Foster Dog Bruno Spends All Day with T-Daddy (Mr. Patch)
While this Patch Editor is out patrolling Cupertino, Bruno stays home with the man of the house.
Since I spent all of Tuesday in various meetings or events in Cupertino, Bruno-the-fabulous-foster-dog spent all day with my husband, Mike, “Mr. Patch”, whom I’ve now renamed T-Daddy.
OK, I won’t make you guess what T-Daddy means; it stands for Temporary Daddy. Yes, I’m T-Mommy, but if you address me as that when you see me in Cupertino be prepared to commit to caring for me in my old age—at least temporarily.
Bruno spent all day his bed in T-Daddy’s home office, reports T-Daddy himself. The boys went for a couple of walks in the neighborhood and dashed up and down our yard for exercise and play.
Rainey, our 18-year-old cat, has finally given up on avoiding Bruno and took his usual place on my lap Monday on the rare occasion that Bruno wasn’t already occupying it, though Bruno was right next to me on the couch.
I worked; they slept.
And so it is now even as I type this; Bruno is curled up in his little bed, every so often snorting out a tiny snore. He's good company even asleep.
