On the Hunt for Teens Who Make a Difference

In 800 words or fewer young people between ages 14 and 18 can win $1,000 for a cause by explaining how they impact their community.

Teenagers in Cupertino who are making a mark on the world—and we know there are plenty of you out there—have an opportunity to do even more good by entering a contest which will donated up to $1,000 to a charity of choice.

Whether you are someone who performs many hours of community service, develops cancer-busting nanotechnology, or raises money to upgrade schools in poor countries, you're an inspiration.

Consider this contest—Teen Impact, which is open to youth ages 14 to 18—just another project, but an unselfish one...one that could help others with just a little effort on your behalf.

Enter the contest here, and then post your entry here on Cupertino Patch, either below or in the Gallery area above (click Gallery on the bar above).

The 14 finalists will have their blog post posted on Huff Post High School or Huff Post Impact. The Grand Prize Winner will get $1,000 donated to the charity of their choice, plus a trip to New York for a special screening of the film Big Miracle with special host Arianna Huffington. Two runners up will get $500 will be donated to the charity of choice.
