Get Out in Cupertino: Movie in the Park, the Connect Club and a Bike Race

Browse Farmer's Market, enjoy a movie with the family and attend an inaugural bike race to close out the weekend this week in Cupertino.

Where/When: Memorial Park, Thursday, 8:30 pm.

Why Go: The summer movie series continues this week with the showing of Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr. as billionaire playboy Tony Stark. The action-flick is a great watch for the entire family, providing plenty of action during this comic book adventure.

Where/When: Saratoga Mountain Winery, 14831 Pierce Rd., Saratoga, Saturday, noon to 4 pm. 

Why Go: Take in the beautiful Saratoga setting and sample a little wine while you're at it. The afternoon time slot is a perfect excuse for an afternoon getaway to one of the finest wineries in the South Bay. 

Pricing: Varies on wine selection 

Where/When: Sears parking lot at Vallco Shopping Center, Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Why Go: A weekly event, the outdoor market atmosphere only gets better in the summertime. Beat the afternoon heat and do some shopping through the wide array of vendors that sell everything from beets to fresh-cut flowers.

Where/When: Foothill College, 12345 S. El Monte Rd., Los Altos Hills, Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Why Go: More than 400 cyclists will take part in the all-day event at Foothill College. The course takes the racers around the 1.09-mile campus loop, with multiple starts throughout the day. This is a fundraiser to benefit the on-campus multi-use bike path. There will be several great spots all across the course for spectators to take in the inaugural event.

Where/When: Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, Thursday, 8-9 a.m. 

Why Go: An excellent structured networking opportunity to grow your customer base. The purpose of the weekly Connect Club is to expand each member's business contacts through qualified business referrals. Take your business cards and mingle this week!
