Investigation Into Cupertino Woman's 2010 Death in Palo Alto

The location where Sheena Marie Barker was struck by a bus was closed off and measured Wednesday morning.

Palo Alto police closed the downtown intersection of University Avenue and Webster Street for an investigation this morning of an accident that killed a Cupertino woman almost two years ago.

Between about 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., investigators took measurements at the intersection where Sheena Marie Barker was struck, 52, was struck by a San Mateo County Transit District bus traveling south on Webster Street, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The measurements will be used as evidence in a court case related to the fatal collision that occurred there on Dec. 30, 2010, Lt. Zach Perron said.

Barker, who was a traveling nurse worked at various hospitals in the area, was wearing hospital scrubs when she was hit. She left behind her husband, M.S. Krishnan, of 33 years, and their three children, Mohan, Sangeetha, and Prema.
