Part 2: Homelessness Through Gary's Eyes

Last week, Cupertino Patch ran the first part of Gary Dunn's story that first appeared on Campbell Patch. , who has lived in the South Bay's streets, including those of Cupertino, abandoned buildings and along various creeks for the last 10 years, most recently in Campbell.

This is the second installment of the mini-video series exploring what it's like to be in Silicon Valley, through Dunn's eyes.

What's a house but a structure made of brick and mortar, wood and steel?

For Gary Dunn, there are four things necessary for those living on the streets, in shelters or outdoors:

• A place to sleep.
• A place to eat.
• A place to clean up.
• A place to store your belongings.

Dunn has many, many places that have provided all of this to him throughout the years, first in Mountain View, then Milpitas, Cupertino and, finally, Campbell, and none were actual houses.
