Worst Traffic Congestion Area in Cupertino: Name It!

Are you on the roads of Cupertino in the morning? Where do the roads get most clogged for you?

If you're a regular morning commuter—whether it's driving yourself to work, dropping off the kids at school, or both—tell us where you run into the most congestion.

There's a grassroots group in town, , that is working on your behalf to improve traffic patterns in the community. On April 11 we ran a , who asked the community to encourage city leaders to consider putting on the council agenda a plan to develop a free shuttle system in Cupertino.

Help us help Friends of Cupertino Transit. Vote in our poll for where you run into the worst morning traffic in Cupertino—we'll vote on afternoon traffic later. If you don't see the area that bothers you most, give us a write-in vote in the Comments section.

Kennedy School, Bubb Road & Pumpkin Drive

Agreed, Gary. Although you could add in any of the intersections nearby. Bubb and Hyannisport, for example.

Whoops, I left off the poll. Please vote! Sorry about that.

If everyone would carpool in "ALL" school areas it would help to eliminate the traffic. Look and see....many parents pick up students - one student per car.....

I would love to see more kids walking to school.

How about Lawrence Expwy., Steven's Creek and 280. That is always a mess.

Yep; which begs the question; why doesn't Cupertino have a community bus line? Answer; it is complicated. One reason is that the VTA provides community bus lines like the one in Los Gatos bases on connection to a major transit terminal. Then the question is bigger; does't De Anza College qualify as a connection point?

NO, That makes way too much sense! That's why they don't do it haha.

Stevens Creek Blvd/85 south off ramp/ De Anza College intersection. Try getting through there in the morning. The lights there dont sync up so the intersection is blocked half the time. I think what makes it worse for me is that our work van has no horn haha.

The school districts should bring back the buses! That would eliminate a majority of the congestion. We didn't have the congestion problems in 1972
