It must be summer if the concert season has arrived.
The Cupertino Symphonic Band kicks off a six-week series of free evening summer concerts Thursday night, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Memorial Park Amphitheater.
The homegrown non-profit organization specializes in musicals and movies, classical, big band sounds and more.
For the next several weeks, residents can hear the gamut from Zydeco to Motown. So bring a picnic dinner and the family and kick back!
All concerts except the Independence Day special, are from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Here's the schedule:
June 6: Cupertino Symphonic Band,
June 13: Zydeco Flames
June 20: West Grand Boulevard (Motown, R&B and soul hits)
June 27: Long Train Runnin' (Doobie Brothers tribute band)
July 4: Cocktail Monkeys (the best through the 1960s) 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
July 11: Volifonix (hot rock/funk)
