Based on the Book of the same title, we join a thieving baron, a would-be starlet, a dying bookkeeper, a war-torn doctor, and a fading prima ballerina as their lives intersect. Love, death, passion and greed are woven together as their stories are told in the Grand Hotel. The musical is based on the Vicki Baum novel play and movie, which starred Greta Garbo and John Barrymore. The program peeks inside the walls of the fashionable pre-war Berlin hotel and chronicles the lives of those who pass through its revolving doors.
