IL POSTINO (The Postman)

In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Poetry Circle of the Northwest YMCA presents Il Postino (the Postman) an endearing italian film with english subtitles describes the quest by a very small town postman with one customer -- Pablo Neruda -- famous Chilean poet of love exiled to a small italian island for opposing dictatorship in his home country. The postman sees that poetry is a way to win his true love and befriends Neruda to help him.  1 hour 45 minutes.  The film will be set off by a few Neruda poems and lively discussion.
