Nicole Kwan who co-authored The Dragon and the Crown – Hong Kong Memoirs with her uncle, the late Stanley Kwan, will talk about their book and share her discoveries about Hong Kong. The memoir recounted the heart wrenching experiences of Mr. Kwan and his family during the upheavals of war and Communist revolution in Hong Kong and mainland China, as well as the story of Hong Kong’s spectacular economic growth after the war. Mr. Kwan created the Hang Seng Index (the equivalent of the Dow Jones) in 1969, and the Hong Kong market has never looked back.
