Great America Offers Free Memorial Day Weekend Park Admission to U.S. Military

The park's 'Military Days, a Tribute to Our Heroes' event takes place May 25 -27.

California's Great America, 4701 Great America Parkway in Santa Clara, is offering free park admission to active or retired United States service men and women, including veterans, with a valid military identification Memorial Day weekend, 25 to 27. 

The event, called "Military Days," is a way for the popular park to celebrate Memorial Day weekend and pay tribute to military service men and women, the park said on its website. 

Also, military personnel can enjoy a $7 meal (tax included) on May 25 to 27 in the park's Picnic Pavilion or at the front gate. 

The picnic includes a hot dog, potato salad, garden salad, fountain beverages, and ice cream novelties. Picnic meals are served from 12 noon until 3 p.m., the park said. 

There's a special $19.99 entrance ticket to the park for up to six family members accompanying service personnel, as well.

The discount admission tickets for family members of military personnel are only valid on day of distribution and are include use of all rides and attractions in operation on day of use, excluding pay-per-play experiences and concerts/special events, the park said.
