Patchwork of Vendors: A Closer Look at the 30-year-old De Anza Fleamarket

Wanda Sanderson’s pre-1975 parking-meter-turned-novelty-lamp is a nostalgic reminder of earlier times. After all, the meter won’t swallow any coin worth more than a dime.

Sanderson and her husband offered the parking meter for sale at the De Anza Flea market on Saturday. The Sanders are retired and belong to the collect and resale category at the market. They join other vendors, who sell anything from original arts and crafts to childhood memorabilia.
