Silicon Valley Restaurant Week Starts Oct. 17

Participating restaurants are offering special three-course prix fixe meals.

Mark your calendars, dining aficionados: Silicon Valley Restaurant Week is coming to a gourmet kitchen near you Oct. 17 to 24.

Participating restaurants—which range from Polish to Mexican cuisine—are offering three-course, prix fixe dinners excluding beverages, tax and gratuity. Prices range from around $20 to $40, depending on the restaurant. Cupertino's Arya Global Cuisine is on the list offering Italian and Persian fare.

Organizers say they want to draw more attention to Silicon Valley, which they deem a hidden gem in the dining world: a mix of ethnic cuisine with fresh California ingredients. In the past, they added in a news release on the event, restaurants have seen up to a 40 percent spike in customers during the week.

Reserve a spot through Opentable.com. Below is a partial list of participating restaurants, with a link to their menus, and a suggested Restaurant Week specialty to try. Find a full offering here.
