From dropping a penny off of a skyscraper to creating an Archimedes death ray, science has never been so entertaining.
The Discovery Channel's Mythbusters are making their way to the South Bay and The Tech Museum of San Jose is inviting residents to become part of the entertainment.
From October 13 to January 6, 2013 Mythbusters: The Explosive Edition will be held at the museum and open auditions for residents to be part of the team are being held next week.
The Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition is directly inspired from the Discovery Channel's Emmy-nominated series, MythBusters, says The Tech Museum Intern Diane Firmalino.
"Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition creates hands-on, interactive experience for guests of all ages by combining popular scientific facts with innovative, family-friendly displays," Firmalino says. "Mythbusters specializes in subjecting wild ideas to some wildly entertaining experiments."
According to Firmalino, the unconventional take on science by Mythbusters fits right in with The Tech Museum.
"Our mission is to inspire the innovator in everyone," she says. "This exhibition spark a lot of curiosity and imagination and might just create another Mythbuster!"
Auditions take place Aug. 20, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at The Tech Museum, 201 S. Market Street, San Jose. The position is a paid one, with shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. available daily. The exhibition runs from Oct. 13 through Jan. 6, 2013.
