Free Shakespeare in the Park - 7:30 to 9:10 p.m. The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival returns to Memorial Park Amphitheater in Cupertino and celebrates its 31st season with Macbeth, directed by Kenneth Kelleher. Generally regarded as one of the Bard’s major tragedies (along with Hamlet, Othello, and King Lear), this is the first time SF Shakes has produced it for Free Shakespeare in the Park. The 100-minute play is for its suspenseful plot and thrilling scenes of witchcraft and swordplay.

Taste of Compassion, Park Place Restaurant, 10300 S. De Anza Blvd., 8 p.m. 50% of proceeds directly benefit services to prevent hunger and homelessness in Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos,
Monte Sereno and West San Jose.
