Photo: Sinks in Pink for a Breast Cancer Training Walk

Councilmember Rod Sinks joined Cupertino women on their training walk and slipped on some pink to show support of breast cancer awareness.

Joining Team Never Give Up Saturday morning on a training walk was Councilmember Rod Sinks all dolled up in a pink T-shirt.

“He went the whole six miles of our walk this morning,” says Alysa Sakkas, of Never Give Up.

The team is training for a three-day Susan G. Komen Walk for a Cure late this month and has been inviting the community to join them on their Saturday morning walks to show support for breast cancer awareness.

Mayor Mark Santoro, along with about 60 other community members and five dogs, joined Never Give Up on a 14-mile loop that stopped at all five high schools in the Fremont Union High School District on Oct. 27.
