Employees from the Hilton Santa Clara were here at Humane Society Silicon Valley for a volunteer day recently, and they brought more than just their time and effort! The Hilton Santa Clara isn’t just a PET-FRIENDLY hotel (which we love!), employees also avidly recycle, and give the proceeds to their favorite charities. Employees arrived here with a much-needed kitten scale they bought from the proceeds of a month of recycling….and you can see that we immediately put the scale to work! (Now that it’s “kitten season”, we need to weigh our kittens in foster care to see how they are progressing….when they get to 2 pounds, they are ready to be spayed or neutered and put up for adoption.)
Hilton volunteers also donated food and treats for our Pet Pantry Program so we can help struggling families feed their pets and keep them in their loving homes. AND this group is planning to have a fundraising team at this year’s Walk ‘n Wag in October! Talk about a bunch of do-gooders…way to go, Hilton Santa Clara!
