Fill 'er Up: Production Squeeze Causes Price Jump
The cheapest gas in Cupertino can be found at both Rotten Robbie and Valero for $4.09 a gallon.
It's not looking too good for gas prices in the Bay Area, even as national prices have started to take a dip.
Prices in the region jumped by as much as 16 cents over the course of the week. The increase is the result of several California refiners slowing down production in order to conduct maintenance and repairs, according to a San Jose Mercury News article.
Statewide, the average price per gallon was $4.19 versus the national average of $3.80.

While the rising trend should only be temporary, Cupertino Patch tracked down the cheapest gas in town to save drivers a few cents a gallon.
While all Cupertino prices have skyrocketed to over $4 a gallon, they ranged anywhere from $4.09 at Rotten Robbie to $4.59 at 76.
