Need a Job? Walmart Hiring Up To 95 For New Santa Clara Outlet

Walmart announced today that a temporary hiring center has opened in Sunnyvale. The intent is to fill about 95 positions that are full- and part-time for its new Santa Clara Neighborhood Market store.

Interested job applicants are encouraged to visit the hiring center at 1214 Apollo Way in Sunnyvale any time Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The majority of new associates will begin work in February to help prepare for the store grand opening.

WHAT:              Walmart will hire up to 95 associates to work at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open this spring in Santa Clara. A temporary hiring center has opened at 1214 Apollo Way in Sunnyvale.

Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interested applicants may also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.

“I started my career with Walmart as a temporary associate and now I’m very excited to begin hiring for the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Santa Clara,” said store manager Karina Arvizu. “We are looking for candidates who are eager, have great customer service skills and want to be part of our team. I look forward to offering the community a new, convenient location for healthy, affordable groceries and wellness products soon.”

Walmart provides a benefits program to eligible full- and part-time associates. For example, it provides a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits including healthcare coverage with no lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to six percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on store performance.

The majority of new associates will begin work in February to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
