Saturday Marks the Reopening of a Coffee Shop Icon

The coffee shop known as Bobbi's—now Bobbie's—will reopen Saturday at 6 a.m.

When Bobbi's Coffee Shop closed in March, the community's pain in losing this bastion was felt.

Cupertino Patch followed the story closely about how the diner's then-owner wasn't making rent payments. Then the original Bobbi talked to us about how sad it made her that the coffee shop with her name on it was sullied with a black mark. Bobbi Thorne shared with us her fond memories of the diner she considered a home.

Along came Bill Dancer who remembered the great food and service of the diner and longed to return it to its glory. Come Saturday he gets his chance.

Have a Grand reopening! Unfortunately we have plans that take us away this weekend but will drop in as soon as possible. Thanks, Bill, for bringing it back.

A change of plans allowed us to get over to the new Bobbie's Cafe for a great breakfast this morning. Had some great meals, enjoyed the patio dining and the coffee was excellent! I encourage everyone to get thee to Bobbie's and enjoy the icon. It is a basic meals place at great prices (was surprised to see the prices!). Let's support them as they get restarted with new management.
