Steve Jobs in Action Figure Form

A new Steve Jobs action figure is expected to be released in February.

A few extra pairs of hands, a couple of pairs of glasses, a chair and some socks are part of the package that comes with a new unauthorized Steve Jobs action figure set to hit the market next month, according to reports.

The new foot-tall action figure made by Chinese company In Icons includes two apples—one with a bite taken out of it—in its accessory list, according to Christian Science Monitor, and will sell for $99.99.

It’s not the first time the tech icon has had a doll made in his likeness, though the In Icons version has an “uncanny likeness” according to Forbes blogger, Brian Caulfield. An LA Times blog calls the likeness a “borderline disturbing level of detail” and “the prototype includes the pores on Jobs' forehead, the subtle wrinkles under his eyes, even the veins on his hand.” Sounds creepy.

Another doll whose maker was forced by Apple last year to stop sales and production can still be found on eBay, where also for sale is a nesting doll with Jobs’ likeness ages on each of four dolls in a five-doll set. The fifth doll—the littlest one nestled inside—sports the Apple logo. On one of the nesting dolls Jobs is holding a laptop and the words “stay foolish” are written on his chest; the next larger doll is holding what appears to be an iPhone and “stay hungry” on his chest.

There are no reports of what action Apple will take.
