Prayer Goes to Cyclist Hit by Car on Homestead This Morning

A car and bicycle accident on the morning of Bike to Work Day.

I passed by an accident scene on Homestead this morning about 7:30 a.m. Those of us that live near Homestead / De Anza probably heard the sirens of emergency crews responding to the scene. The cyclist was being carried into an ambulance. It was not hard to tell what happened. The westbound biker got hit by a turning car that never saw it coming. What a way to start off the Bike to Work Day.

Those of you who know me know how emotionally I take this. People, let’s watch out for motorcycles and bicycles! The cars we drive are potent weapons if we are not careful. Accidents like this one would never have happened if we just paid a little more attention.

Please pray for the cyclist.  Thank you.
