Big Rig Accident on Hwy. 101 Causes Back Up

Collision on southbound 101 at Great America Parkway in Santa Clara jammed 3 lanes.

A big rig is on its side this morning and traffic is backing up after a two-vehicle collision on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at Great America Parkway in Santa Clara, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The two vehicles involved in the crash are blocking three lanes, according to the CHP.
The crash was reported to the CHP at 7:24 a.m. when the big rig and a sedan collided, causing the big rig to roll onto its side, CHP said.
