Bites Nearby: Bagel Street Cafe

Bagels, warm and toasty, are schmeared with flavored cream cheese or filled with your choice of meats, cheeses, or veggies.

With more than 160 restaurants, delis or coffee shops in Cupertino, Bites Nearby will help you get to know what’s available—or remind you of that great little place down the street that you used to frequent that serves the best dish in town.

This week’s Bites Nearby:

What you'll find there: Bagels embody that comfort-food state of mind—they’re filling with a stick-to-your-ribs quality, and when they’re fresh, warm and chewy, it’s akin to wrapping up in a fuzzy blanket on a blustery day.

But, really, with a name like Bagel Street Café, you have to try one of the many varieties, which include sesame seed, sunflower seed, poppy seed, salt, egg, whole wheat, sundried tomato, blueberry, cranberry and cinnamon apple.

There’s about that many toppings and cream cheese flavors, too.

Bagel sandwiches are available in everything from deli meats or veggie to pizza bagel or bagel dog.

You can dine in or take out Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
