Cupertino Reacts to End-of-the-World Hype

Read what some of your neighbors think about the end of the Mayan calendar, the fears—and jokes—surrounding it.

There are a number of theories and predictions that call for earth’s demise on Dec. 21, 2012, which some say is the end of the Mayan calendar.

On Cupertino Patch’s Facebook page I posed this question about the end of the world hype and share the community’s reactions here.

Cupertino Patch: I have to ask...is anyone talking about or concerned about this Mayan calendar/end of the world thing on Dec. 21? It's a HUGE topic across the country. Thoughts, please.

I am not worried about the Mayan calendar ending. Myself, I use the Gregorian calendar because I look more like Gregory, Jesus's half brother, the 13th Apostle. Of course, Christian teaching only refers to 12 Apostles but Gregory was the guy that did all the behind the scenes work, like swapping the water for wine at the Last Dinner without anyone seeing him. (all tongue in cheek of course)
