Great America Offers Free Admission to U.S. Military on Memorial Day

California's Great America is offering free park admission to active or retired United States service men and women, with a valid military I.D. this Memorial Day weekend.

The event, called "Military Days," is a way for the popular park to celebrate Memorial Day weekend and pay tribute to military service men and women, the park said on its website.  There's a special $19.99 entrance ticket to the park for up to six family members accompanying service personnel, the website stated.

Also, military personnel can enjoy a $7 meal (tax included) on May 25-27 in the park's Picnic Pavilion or at the front gate. 

The picnic includes a hot dog, potato salad, garden salad, fountain beverages, and ice cream novelties. Picnic meals are served from 12 noon until 3 p.m., the park said. 

The discount admission tickets for family members of military personnel are only valid on day of distribution and are include use of all rides and attractions in operation on day of use, excluding pay-per-play experiences and concerts/special events, the park said.
