Last Chance and Reminders for Taxes and Turf

A couple of reminders to help you out in your busy lives.

We all do it. Forget to mark our calendars for upcoming Little League sign-ups, prom tickets or local business expos. There are so many events and opportunities in Cupertino that it can be hard to keep tabs on them all.

Here are a couple reminders. Take a look before it's your last chance!

LEARN TURBOTAX AND QUICKEN

Tax deadline day, April 15, is not that far off. If you’re interested in learning TurboTax and Quicken to prepare your tax return, there’s a free workshop at on Wednesday, March 28, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

It’s sponsored by California South Bay University, School of Business, and covers tax preparation for both small businesses and individuals. Plan on arriving with your all your tax documents.

COMPOST

The city is offering free compost to residents again. On Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. (weather permitting) residents can pick up compost at the Stevens Creek Quarry site on Stevens Creek Road (across from the dam.) Visit the city’s website www.cupertino.org for more details.
