Lehigh Cement's Permit Gets Renewed

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District renewed Lehigh Permanente's permit

Lehigh Permanente Cement announced Tuesday that the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) renewed Lehigh Permanente’s Title V Permit, after a review and approval process conducted by local, regional and federal environmental regulators.

Lehigh’s Title V permit includes finalized federal emissions standards as requested by Region 9 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Lehigh installed a new system in April 2011 to comply with the future mercury emission limits, well in advance of the compliance deadline.

Lehigh's renewed Title V permit will be due for review on April 16, 2017.
