Monta Vista Market To Bring Produce From Near, Not Far

The market, expected to open in October, plans to bring organic fruits and veggies from as close as possible.

Monta Vista Market— Cupertino’s newest set to open in October—keeps things close to home. It’s produce is grown as close as possible, and it’s owner is pretty darn close, too—he’s lived in the Monta Vista neighborhood for 25 years.

Peter Yessne has his own organic vegetable garden and plans to bring organic produce to his new store from as close to the market as possible.

In addition to the produce the market, here’s what else the market’s website says can be expected: “a ‘grab-n-go’ meal section with natural prepared sandwiches, wraps, salads, burritos, eggrolls, fruit cups, sushi made daily, and healthful drinks, a full dairy department, frozen ready-to-eat meals, ice cream, fine organic cheeses, salsa and hummus, plus a variety of specialized organic dry goods including grains, dried fruit, nuts, health bars, soups, coffee, teas, jams, bread, & condiments.”
