Please join me in welcoming Tim Stanley to the Cupertino Patch family of contributors.
Tim Stanley grew up in Saratoga and during his teens worked on one of the last fruit farms there. When he married, he and his wife moved to Los Gatos and later to Irvine.
After running a construction business for 30 years, Stanley now works as a freelance writer. He has published two books, a local history book titled, The Last of the Prune Pickers: A Pre-Silicon Valley Story, and a collection of bird poems and stories titled Letters To My Feathered Friends.
He says he has other books in the works and also contributes articles to various publications. He keeps in touch locally by visiting his family and by speaking at book events.
Stanley will give us snippets of his book and other history pieces a couple times a month on Wednesdays. Learn more about him on his .
