Report: Monte Sereno Murder Victim Led Turbulent Lifestyle

Businessman Raveesh "Ravi" Kumra was killed Nov. 30 during a surprise invasion at his gated estate on Withey Road.

A review of court documents by the San Jose Mercury News into the mysterious slaying of Raveesh “Ravi” Kumra, suggested the former Mountain Winery owner engaged in “nefarious business dealings while living a sordid and debauched lifestyle.”

Four suspects have been arrested in connection to the slaying of Kumra, 66, but police aren’t revealing much about the suspects, their motives, or details about the investigation which is still under way.

One suspect, Javier Garcia, 21, was arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Santa Clara County Hall of Justice in San Jose on murder, theft and other charges stemming from the death of Kumra, who was killed in his Monte Sereno home on Nov. 30. Garcia is being held without bail and will enter a plea at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4.
