Saratoga Patch is Coming Soon

Site will be your go-to spot for community conversation.

Since the launch of Los Gatos, Campbell and Cupertino Patch sites in the winter of 2010, many of our readers who either live, work or play in Saratoga have asked: Why isn't there a Saratoga Patch?

Good question! With demographics similar to Los Gatos in terms of population, ethnicity and income levels, we think the Saratoga community needs its own news, business and information platform. We will launch Saratoga Patch on Sept. 27, adding to our nationwide network of 870 towns.

Saratoga Patch will be a place where you can connect with your neighbors to discuss the things that are most important to you and share them with others by posting your own events, announcements, photos and videos.

If you have a Saratoga business, you can add it to our free business directory, and if you claim your listing, you'll find free tools to help you promote your business.

We hope you'll get involved! Our users make Patch lively, interactive information hubs. You can contribute by commenting, submitting events and announcements, blogging or just letting us know what's happening.

We're currently signing up bloggers. If you have a passion about something—your school, your pets, your church, anything—fill out the form with this article. You can also use this form to sign up for our Saratoga Patch newsletter.

To advertise, contact our sales team at Natalie Maharaj at natalie.maharaj@patch.com.

We already have set up Saratoga Patch pages on Facebook and Twitter, and there will be a smartphone app as well. So look for us there now where we're starting to post announcements related to relevant stories and pre-launch fun stuff and information.

It's difficult to know what's going on in a kid's mind unless they feel confident enough to open upRead More and talk. And this program helps us adults to learn to listen differently.

I too was at this Challenge Day. It was my 6th. I first volunteered because I watched the programRead More on MTV "If You Really Knew Me" when my son was being severely bullied in middle school and saw the program was offered when he was a freshman in high school. My company strongly supports me volunteering for this and allows me to take the day off work to attend. I am continually humbled by what these teens share and saddened at what some of them have experienced in their short lives. This program is so valuable. I think every school should offer it and every parent should attend. It helps us to realize that we need to think twice before we judge or assume things about others when we know nothing about them. It is the volunteering opportunity that I look forward to participating in every year.
