Soup's/Shabu's On!

Seen in Cupertino: a clever response by One Pot Shabu Shabu to next door neighbor Erik's DeliCafe.

Everybody knows "Soup's On" at Erik's DeliCafe, a local institution in the Cupertino Marketplace, which let's us know about its hot soup through the red neon sign over the front door.

Not too long ago One Pot Shabu Shabu opened up right next to Erik's. The restaurant features a Japanese form of soup, where diners cook their own meats and vegetables in boiling hot water or broth. The translation of "Shabu Shabu" is "swish swish", or the sound of the food being swished in the hot pots.

The red neon sign in it's window: "Shabu's On."
