Traffic in Cupertino: What Will it Look Like in 5 Years?

Cupertino traffic in the future; what does it look like in five to ten years? Should we be thinking about that now? What is the plan?

I'm back! Is it just me or was traffic in Cupertino inordinately heavy last week? I am working out now at the new Bay Club and haven't been over in that area during the mid to late afternoon in some years. I leave the Club around 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. during the weekdays and am finding the traffic pretty darn heavy; certainly not what I remember it as being say even five years ago.

I would appreciate knowing what the City and County's mid-term and long-term planning is to alleviate what is certain to be more of an issue once the Rose Bowl, Main Street, Biltmore and Apple Campus II projects are fully on line as productive members of our community. Oh yes; and then there is also the construction going on behind the International House of Pancakes; a multi-story office project. I also believe Kaiser is planning more expansion of their medical complex at Homestead and Lawerence Expressway.

Maybe someone from the City and County could bring us up-to-date here on what solutions other than BRT are in the works. I for one have been out of touch for some months now and would like to be brought up-to-date. Surely the five City Council members cannot believe there is no problem coming in the near future.
