Adult Essay Contest

Part of the 2012 Silicon Valley Reads event. Open to all adults who live or work in the Cupertino. One $500 prize will be awarded to the winning adult essay, along with a $300 prize for the second place adult essay.

Here is this year's prompt: Please share lessons you have learned from reading either The Muslim Next Door or The Butterfly Mosque that helped you understand the impact of cultural, religious, or spiritual traditions on your values, behavior, or world views. In 500 words or less, explain how these insights have influenced your daily life.
