Great job to all the high schools! Quick correction: the school is Monta Vista, not Monte Vista.

Yes, we live in the city named for a city in Italy BUT WAS MISSPELLED, Italian city was Copertino, but also Stevens Creek is also MISSPELLED, it was in honor of Elijah Stephens so the trifecta is Monta also being MISSPELLED! Maybe this slow start is what catapulted Cupertino schooling system to such excellence? Then again, with the unique spelling of Monta Vista, it helps in Google & Yahoo searches, assuming you properly misspell it too! ;-)

BTW - it is very interesting to review "these rankings" as you will find many highly ranked schools are boutique (small specialized) and dedicated schools for gifted kids or very specific intentions. Whereas the Cupertino schools are "regular public" schools where all kids attend, tied to local political (very limited) budgets and the whims (or attempts) of local community that often slows things like enhancing the facilities, etc! Clearly our local community has a much higher standard & kudos to the FUHSD Board for how well a job they are doing for us here! Net result is not just much better students & future contributors to our global community but immediate impact is incredibly high & stable home values!
