There are two new poets laureate in the news this week.
Read all about Caroline Goodwin here in the Belmont Patch. She is the first Poet Laureate of San Mateo County. If you want to read Goodwin's poems, I suggest you start on her website.
San Francisco has just named its sixth Poet Laureate, Alejandro Murguia. You can read more about him in the SF Gate blog. Many of his poems can be found on the internet, at sites like this.
Santa Clara County is in the final months of naming its third PL. You can read Sally Ashton's blog (second Santa Clara County PL) here and find out more about what our county is doing in the poetry arena.
And, in case you're wondering why I haven't mentioned it, yes, I am the second Poet Laureate of Cupertino. I'll be blogging here still, until they kick me out.
