It's that one fantastical evening where you form memories that last a lifetime. It's the time to be bold and go all out. It's the dance that Kevin Bacon fought so hard for in the original Footloose, and the pinnacle of all high school dances. It's PROM!
And right now, it's prom season, meaning...PROM DRESS TIME!

There are thousands of prom dresses out there, so looking for the perfect one can be a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack. With all of the options it's easy to get confused or feel overwhelmed. But try to remember that prom dress shopping should be fun, not stressful, so here's a few trends that can help lead you in the direction toward finding your perfect dress:
1. Don't be afraid: whether it's color or sparkle or a silhouette you're not used to, don't be afraid to take risks. Remember that prom is the perfect place to try something new.

2. Let yourself shine: all of the glitz and glam that go along with prom dresses can be a bit overwhelming, so make sure that if you go bold, YOU still standout. Make people stare because of the confidence you exude while wearing your fabulous dress, not because you're rocking a print or a galaxy of sparkles.
3. Comfort is Key: yeah, yeah, I know, 'beauty is pain', or so they say, however I don't think it has to be. You only have one prom, and the goal above all else, is to have a good time, so make sure that the dress you select is comfortable. In the dressing room, try to walk, twirl and dance around before you buy something that could possible restrict your movement, and your fun.
As you look through these dresses, keep your mind open to the endless possibilities. Also, remember that sometimes finding parts of dresses you like, is just as important as finding a singular dress that you like. If you notice little things that you like, then when you go out looking for your dress, you'll know what to look for.
