Rain, Rain, You Can Stay...

Rainy day outfits that will brighten your mood

I know the original song asked the rain to leave, but around this time of year, I actually prefer to keep it around. 

There is something quite magical about the rain, isn't there? Nothing else in the world can really compare to the fresh smell of rain that you inhale the second you step outdoors, or the pitter-patter of each little droplet jumping on your roof. And although the cloud-covered sky may appear sad and gloomy, it's actually more like a puffy grey blanket...that ocasionally gets your Louboutins wet. (Ok fine, only in a dream world can one afford to wear Louboutins in the rain... but hey, a girl can dream!) 

As of now, my highschool budget doesn't allow for much splurging on rain gear, and I suppose it isn't too important, considering I live somewhere where rain feels almost as rare as the person you're rooting for to actually win on reality TV competitions. However, I can't help but daydream about all of the lovely, warm winter coats that the rain begs me to wear.

I am a Burberry girl at heart, and I've already decided that as soon as I get a job and an income my first major purchase will be a classic Burberry trench coat. Everytime I walk past one in a store window I have to double check that I haven't started drooling all over the place. One time, I swear I spent a good 30 minutes admiring a single Burberry trench in Nordstrom. I just stood, and stared in awe and had no trouble at all invisioning myself in one of those beauties someday.
