Stepping up Police Patrols in our Neighborhoods

Police presence in our neighborhoods is not what it used to be. Not to say the outstanding job when police presence is required is not noticed and appreciated, but increased patrols on our neighborhood streets would also be appreciated even more.
The discarding of refuse including liquor and alcohol containers in residential areas is a sign that driving under the influence may be illegal but is occurring regardless. And the safety of our children and all residents in our communities is in jeopardy and at risk as long as this continues.
An increased patrol of residential areas will not stop drinking and driving but it will deter offenders from the routine use of our streets to discard their refuse and alcohol containers. While creating a cleaner, safer environment for families and all residents of our neighborhoods. Having to be concerned with being run down by a drunk driver in you own neighborhood is something we all need not worry about!
