De Anza Men's Basketball Gears Up for Season
De Anza Men's Basketball grinds on the hardwood as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The De Anza College Men's Basketball team is in the midst of preparing for the 2012-2013 campaign. No, not the presidential campaign, they are getting ready for the upcoming basketball season. With their first games, at the Las Positas Tournament, just around the corner, in early November, the Dons are grinding on the hardwood.
With the roster solidified, Coach Jason Damjanovic is looking for sophomore leadership from returning All-Conference guard Denzel Copeland, as well as from sophomore guard George Henderson and from forward Stefan Demirovic.
The Dons have been going six days a week since practice opened, at the beginning of October, including at 8 A.M. on Saturdays. With the mix of sophomore leadership and talented and athletic freshmen, the Dons look to continue their running style.
