Labor Day weekend DUI arrests in Santa Clara County were down this year compared to 2011, officials said.
Law enforcement arrested 368 people in 2012 compared to 441 DUI arrests in the same time period in 2011.
Additionally, there were no DUI related deaths reported in Santa Clara County.
Funding for the “Avoid the 13” campaign was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Expect similar campaigns during Halloween and Thanksgiving.
