21 More DUI Arrests in County

'Avoid the 13' results in 56 DUI arrests since campaign began Aug. 19.

The 18-day Summer/Labor Day National Anti-DUI crackdown resulted in 56 arrests as of Monday in Santa Clara County, 36 fewer than during the same three-day period one year ago.

Thirteen county law enforcement agencies are participating in the and runs through midnight Labor Day.

A warrants sweep in the county will be conducted by Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies over the next several days as officers continue to focus on arresting drivers who drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
