UPDATE: Connector Ramp Reopened at Southbound 280 and Hwy. 101

The ramp was closed for hours after a cement truck overturned early Tuesday morning.

UPDATE at 9:30 a.m.: Officials say the cement truck still has not been uprighted and the connector ramp is still closed.

UPDATE at 8:50 a.m.: A Sig-alert has been issued for the area, and as of 8:05 a.m. there was still no estimate for when the crash would be cleared.

A crash involving a cement truck Tuesday morning has shut down a southbound interstate Highway 280 connector ramp to northbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The solo crash that sent a cement truck on its side was reported on southbound Highway 280 at the northbound Highway 101 connector just after 6:20 a.m., the CHP is reporting.

The driver suffered only minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP issued a Sig-Alert and closed the connector around 6:40 a.m.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
