Cupertino Resident Injured in Traffic Collision

The 60-year-old individual sustained moderate injuries in the Tuesday afternoon collision between a motorcycle and a car that shut down Cristo Rey Drive for an hour and a half.

A Cupertino resident was taken to Stanford Hospital Tuesday afternoon following a traffic collision on Cristo Rey Drive in south Los Altos along the Cupertino border, Los Altos Police said.

The collision occurred between a motorcycle and a car about 2 p.m., said police Sgt. Cameron Shearer, closing Cristo Rey Drive for about 90 minutes. The street intersects with Foothill Boulevard and winds through the foothills past the Gate of Heaven Cemetery to Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve, and ending at The Forum retirement community in Cupertino.
