Cupertino Sheriff's Blotter, April 21-May 4: Burglary, Domestic Violence, DUI

A look at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's arrests for Cupertino for the period of April 21-May 4, 2013. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicle Code Violation

  • Juan Torres, 35, of San Jose, 7:20 p.m. Feb. 21, at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Highway 85 in Cupertino, for an infraction for failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Ceeta Kyle, 35, of San Jose, 10:10 a.m. April 26, at Foothill and Stevens Creek boulevards in Cupertino, for infractions related to having no insurance, an expired registration and driving when privileges are suspended or revoked.
  • Daniel Granado, 28, of Sunnyvale, 2:20 p.m. April 25, at Homestead Road and Franco Court in Cupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and an infraction for throwing litter on highway. 
  • Carlos Ojeda Campos, 33, of San Jose, 9:15 a.m. April 21, at Pruneridge Avenue and Wolfe Road in Cupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked, suspended license and an infraction for not having the lighting equipment required for vehicle.
  • Alan Franco, 22, of San Jose, 9:45 a.m. March 10, at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Highway 85 in Cupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and an infraction for not following regulations of turns at intersections.

Under the Influence

  • Jeffrey Bainard, 59, of Cupertino, 5:35 a.m. April 25, at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Stern Avenue in Cupertino, for misdemeanor being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or controlled substance. Bail set at $250.
  • Sohan Singh, 45, of San Jose, 8:38 p.m. May 3, at 10123 No. Wolfe Rd. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or controlled substance. Bail set at $250. 
  • Robert Balcita, 39, of Sunnyvale, 10:23 p.m. May 3, at Homestead and Sunnyvale-Saratoga roads in Cupertino, for misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set t $5,000.

Domestic Violence

  • Thai Nguyen, 50, of Cupertino, 6:10 p.m. April 29, at 10169 Empire Ave. in Cupertino, for felony inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant.
  • Han Hsu, 67, of Cupertino, 8:10 p.m. April 29, at 18830 Newsom Ave. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor battery on former spouse, fiance or cohabitant. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Ly Cun, 42, of Basalt, CO, 1:30 a.m. April 30, at 10404 Dempster Ave. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor battery on former spouse, finance or cohabitant. Bail set at $50,000.
Burglary

  • Candelario Sanchez Garcia, 33, of San Jose, 3:30 p.m. April 30, at 10101 No. Wolfe Rd. in Cupertino, for felony first-degree burglary. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Thomas Yamaguchi, 25, of Saratoga, 7 a.m. May 4, at 1699 So. De Anza Boulevard and Prospect Road in Cupertino, for felony first-degree burglary and misdemeanor appropriation of lost property. Bail set at $21,000.

Trespassing

  • Jesse Partida, 31, of San Jose, 5:07 p.m. May 1, at 22225 Cupertino Rd. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor trespassing closed lands. Bail set at $2,000.
Petty Theft

  • Neil Patrick Largo, 21, of Sunnyvale, 12:02 p.m. April 27, at 19501 Stevens Creek Blvd. No. 101, for misdemeanor petty theft of personal property/larceny.
Underage Possession

  • Wesley Yee, 19, of Newtown, MA, 5:33 a.m. June 11, 2012, at Stevens Creek Park in Cupertino, for misdemeanor possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.
  • Julian Green, 19, of Newtwown, MA, 5:33 a.m. June 11, 2012, at Stevens Creek Park in Cupertino, for misdemeanor possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.
DUI

  • Judith Earl, 64, of Los Gatos, 3:55 a.m. May 4, at Mariani Avenue and De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino, for DUI. Bail set at $10,000.
