Cupertino Sheriff's Blotter, June 26-29: Child Abuse, DUI

A look at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's arrests for Cupertino for the period of June 26-29, 2013. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Willful Harm/Injury to Child

  • A 49-year-old Cupertino man was arrested at 11:50 p.m. June 25 at So. Blaney Avenue and John Drive in Cupertino for misdemeanor willful harm or injury to a child, resisting, delaying, or obstructing a peace officer and DUI. Bail set at $11,000.

DUI/Battery

  • A 30-year-old Los Altos man was arrested at 7:30 a.m. June 26 at Cristo Rey Drive and the Maryknoll Seminary for misdemeanor battery, obstruction of justice, using/being under the influence of a controlled substance and DUI.

Vandalism

  • A 25-year-old Sunnyvale man was arrested at 4:25 p.m. April 15 at Stevens Creek County Park in Cupertino for misdemeanor vandalism, or defacing with paint or other inscribed material, possession of graffiti device and an infraction for being in a prohibited area.

Battery

  • A 48-year-old Cupertino man was arrested at 8:15 p.m. June 26 on Hollyhead Lane in Cupertino for misdemeanor battery.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • A 45-year-old Pittsburg, CA man was arrested at 12:39 p.m. June 18 at De Anza Boulevard and Highway 85 in Cupertino for an infraction for failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and driving on a suspended license.
  • A 31-year-old San Jose man was arrested at 10:55 a.m. June 13 at De Anza Boulevard and Rodrigues Avenue in Cupertino for two infractions related to not wearing seat belts, not changing addresses and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • A 57-year-old San Jose man was arrested at 9:55 a.m. June 25 at Stelling Road and Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino for two infractions related to failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle, using wireless telephone device while driving and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.

Theft by Use of Access Card

  • A 44-year-old transient was arrested at 7:39 p.m. June 27 at So. De Anza and Stevens Creek boulevards in Cupertino for felony theft by use of access card information. Bail set at $10,000.

Petty Theft

  • A 34-year-old Mountain View man was arrested at 5:55 p.m. May 6 on North Wolfe Road in Cupertino for misdemeanor petty theft of personal property/larceny.

DUI

  • a 38-year-old Sunnyvale man was arrested at 1:50 a.m. June 29 at Mary Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino for DUI. Bail set at $5,000.
